Clinical Foundations is a comprehensive, practitioner led course for students who want to strengthen clinical thinking, assessment skills, and herbal decision making through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Asian American Herbalism, on their own schedule.
This course moves beyond theory into how clinicians think, supporting you to recognize patters, understanding herbal formulas, and integrate intake information into thoughtful treatment planning through independent study and seasonal support. See the full program description here

This 8-week, self-paced course is designed for herbalists, wellness practitioners, and dedicated learners who want to move beyond the basics of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Building on foundational TCM concepts, Clinical Foundations explores organ systems, diagnostic frameworks, and patterns of imbalance commonly taught in Acupuncture school. The course emphasizes culturally rooted understanding, practical assessment skills, and real-world application for everyday use or to enrich a healing practice.
This course is best suited for students who have completed the Introduction to TCM course or who have prior experience with Traditional Chinese Medicine.
It is not a professional certification or licensure training program.
Advanced TCM frameworks:
Organ systems, Qi and Blood dynamics, Yin–Yang balance, stagnation patterns, and constitutional health

Introduction to diagnosis, pattern recognition, intake skills, and case-based learning
